Here are some of our favourite children attractions.
The perfect attraction to please your little ones - Gulliver's Land in Milton Keynes is a great fantasy-filled theme park for the younger audience.
This attraction in Milton Keynes is perfectly suited for children aged 2-13. Just 5 minutes from our Holiday Inn Express hotel, it offers fantastic value for money when the looking for an entertaining day out. As family trips out sure rack up in cost, Gulliver's Land does a job keeping the kids happy as well as the bank balance.
Admission includes access to all of the parks rides and attractions and there are over 30! Better yet, children under 90cm are able to visit free, superb value for toddlers.
The rides are quiet clearly aimed at young children, not teenagers and therefore won't satisfy the thrill-seekers in the way some bigger theme parks might. However, Gulliver's Land does a great job of putting a smile on the face of the under 14s.
As soon as they enter, their eyes will light up, captivated by the bright, colourful characters and enchanting, fantasy themes. One of the best things about Gulliver's Land is that unlike other theme parks, children will be able to go on all the rides, with no minimum height restrictions there won't be any disappointed faces.
The queues are relatively short too, so there is little chance of children becoming impatient as they wait in line. In addition to the park's manageable size, the family won't spend hours travelling from one area to the other, handy for when the kids want to have another go on their favourite rollercoaster.
There is a great indoor play area for the children to explore in complete safety. They are free to crawl, climb and swing to their hearts content as the adults sit down to a picnic.
Gulliver's Land will entertain the young ones all day.
For an animal safari with a difference, treat the family to the Dinosaur and Farm Park. Right next door to Gulliver's Land is a safe alternative to Jurassic Park but just as appealing to the kids.
Life-size dinosaur models occupy the park, delighting all dino-daft explores. Each model has its own display, which make some fascinating facts available to kids in a fun, engaging fashion. In between there are plenty of play areas for the kids to enjoy. There's also the chance to take a very special Jurassic River cruise and children will love digging for dinosaur bones.
Over in the farm area, you can get up close and personal with some other prehistoric attractions in the Bug and Reptile houses, perfect for the curious kids to see their favourite creepy crawlies. For some slightly cuter creatures, the farmyard animals provide all the fluffy, cuddly fun you could wish for.

Go Ape! is a perfect family adventure to have when visiting Milton Keynes. Located in the wonderful Woburn Safari Park, Go Ape! is a fun filled treetop adventure course, featuring 6 sections of absolute enjoyment, taking you through some stunning scenery.
Of course to do so, you might have to challenge your fear of heights, although there is no better way to do so than at Go Ape! The whole family will have a thrilling time; soaring many feet above the ground, swinging like Tarzan and showing the monkeys in the safari park how it's done.
The supportive staff at Go Ape! ensures every visitor is comfortable, take safety very seriously (with expert equipment) and after their thorough safety briefing you are ready to take on the incredibly fun course.
Starting with an adrenaline-filled zip-line crossing, conquer your apprehension before making your way through the various obstacles, bridges and platforms. Depending on group numbers, the expected time to complete the course would be between 1.5 to 3 hours.
It is a great rush for kids and adults to see the spectacular views of the forest and although perhaps it is initially scary, it is well worth fighting the fear. The course does have some tricky points at which upper body strength may be tested however; there are also alternative, less strenuous routes and the instructors are very encouraging.
The whole family will feel extremely satisfied with the whole experience, especially with the final zip-line journey to finish the course.
